The start is in Central Park on West Drive near 64th Street.

You’ll complete two full counter-clockwise loops of the park, after which you’ll start a third loop and turn left onto the 72nd Street Transverse just past the 13-mile mark.

The finish line is just west of the Naumburg Bandshell.

Major uphills are at approximately 1.5, 3.5, 4.5, 7, 9.5, and 10.5 miles.

The time limit for the race is four hours.

If you wish, you may send a friend to pick up your race materials either with your QR code (this is the faster option) or using your name and birth date.

On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park (see course map) from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. If you pick up on race day, please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start.


Bag check, located at the northern end of Center Road near the Naumburg Bandshell (at approximately 72nd Street, within the park) will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on race day.

As part of New York Road Runners’ ongoing focus on event safety, and in partnership with the NYPD and the Parks Department, they’ve implemented enhanced baggage and security measures. Please consider not bringing a bag to check on race day. If you must bring a bag, please allow extra time for baggage check and security.

Please plan to arrive within your assigned corral at least 30 minutes before the race begins.

Each corral contains 500 to 750 runners, who are assigned to a corral according to their per-mile pace (indicated by each registrant during the application process), with faster runners in front. Each corral is color-coded corresponding to the color on the runners’ number bibs.

No, NYRR does not allow for race refunds or deferments.

Celebrate with friends and family at the Race Day Festival at the Naumburg Bandshell. There will be live music, an awards ceremony, fun activities, free giveaways and more! Runners, friends, and family are welcome from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Stick around for a chance to win some amazing prizes following the race.

Awards will be available to the top three women overall, as well as in age groups as explained in this article. A list of all award winners will be posted in the results for each race. Award winners who wish to receive an award plaque should complete NYRR’s online claim form.
